Contained Curiosities Managing of Solids and Liquids in Collections
July 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Many small and mid-sized cultural institutions face challenging issues with collections containers that still have contents inside of them, whether they are solids or liquids. Often these are assumed to be the original contents, but sometimes they may not be. Solids and liquids present different challenges when it comes to preserving, identifying, and disposing of them. This webinar will:
- illustrate a decision process that best preserves your collections
- optimal safety procedures for staff and visitors
- explore ways to identify contents that might be unknown
- the most safe methods that may be used when disposing of containers and/or their contents.
